The Franciscan Health Olympia Fields Hematology and Medical Oncology Fellowship Program is committed to cultivating compassionate, skilled, and innovative physician leaders who are dedicated to advancing the care of patients with hematologic and oncologic diseases. Rooted in the mission of our Sponsoring Institution, Franciscan Health Olympia Fields, we strive to improve the health and well-being of the diverse communities we serve through excellence in clinical care, education, research, and service.
Our program provides a rigorous and immersive training environment where fellows gain comprehensive experience in diagnosing and managing a wide spectrum of blood disorders and cancers. Through close mentorship by expert faculty, fellows are empowered to develop clinical acumen, engage in meaningful scholarly activity, and lead quality improvement initiatives that enhance patient safety and outcomes. We emphasize the development of lifelong learners who are adaptable to emerging therapies, technologies, and scientific discoveries. Fellows will participate in impactful research and acquire the leadership skills necessary to thrive in academic, community, and global health settings.
Upon graduation, the Franciscan Health Olympia Fields Hematology and Medical Oncology fellows will be well-prepared to deliver high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered care, embodying the values of integrity, equity, and service that define Franciscan Health. Through this mission, we aim to shape the future of hematology and oncology—one fellow, one patient, and one community at a time.
